Demand Term Limits Now:
Ending Lifelong Appointments on the Supreme Court
Overview: As we prepared for the Supreme Court to hand down monumental decisions that would impace the lives of millions of Americans, I worked on CAP's online ad campaign calling for court reform by way of enacting term limits on Supreme Court justices.
Process: I crafted email and ad copy that paired with graphics composed by CAP's design team. These ads ran for 2 months to the New Republic's web and email audience.
Results: The campaign gained over one million online impressions and public support from President Biden.
Spotlight Project 2025:
Exposing the Far Right Assault on America
Overview: Back in May 2024, Center for American Progress (CAP) launched a newsletter to shine a spotlight on the dangers of the ultraconservative playbook called Project 2025. At a time when all people knew of Project 2025 was its name, CAP helped to demystify the harmful policies put forth in the playbook so the general public would be aware of its impact on everyday life if enacted.
Process: I worked with policy experts and communications strategists to ghostwrite email copy for c-suite leaders on a weekly basis.
Results: The newsletter has gained over 5k subscribers and has provided key talking points for Vice President Harris' presidential campaign.
Midterms 2022:
Vote Your Values, Fight For Your Rights
Overview: Launched in August 2022, I worked to brand and market the ACLU's initiative to mobilize supporters to get out the vote in the upcoming midterm election.
Process: Working with a team of strategists, we landed on "Vote Your Values, Fight for Your Rights" as the campaign frame. From there, I worked with a team of designers and engineers to mock up a concept for how we would display the content while prioritizing the pledge ask. In addition, we added a supplementary blog series to the campaign, swaying hesitant voters to take action and vote.
Results: Over 3k pledgers have joined the organization's network and shared this campaign with friends and family.

Systemic Equality:
Addressing America's Legacy of Racism and Systemic Discrimination
Overview: Launched in February 2021, the ACLU wanted to make an internal and external commitment to addressing racism and discrimination through advocacy work and legal strategies, under the umbrella term "Systemic Equality" that housed four essential pillars across our most pertinent civil rights issues for this important work.
Process: I presented this web design to highlight our main pillars as well as specified actions that supporters can take throughout their experience on the page. In addition, I worked closely with our designers to land on the branding and created countless blog posts to further expound upon each of the campaign's pillars. We also created an Artists Collective to bring the pillars to life visually across our promotional platforms. I worked to also secure media placement on the notorious pop culture podcast, The Read, as part of promotion.
Results: Overall, the Systemic Equality campaign page has garnered over 140k pageviews and counting. The supplementary blog posts have reached over 202k pageviews and counting. Our engagement among Black supporters has substantially increased to equal the levels of White supporters in large part to this campaign.

Redistricting 101:
How Much Do You Know About Redistricting?
Overview: In April 2022, the ACLU launched an educational campaign to inform our audience about redistricting as primary elections started.
Process:  As part of this campaign, we searched for methods to engage our site visitors with content that was both interactive and informative on the lead up to our larger product launch. I landed on and pitched creating a quiz template on our site that would define terms related to redistricting and highlight historical moments from the organization's years long involvement in voting rights. I worked closely with our technology and creative teams to create special graphics and a clean design for this case. I also developed the promotion strategy with our email, paid, and organic social teams.
Results: This product boosted overall web traffic and engagement by over 2400% for that months and the few months after its publication. We saw a large increase in users who actively joined the ACLU universe (via email and web specifically).
